The Koklen 944 Fiberglass Roof skin is a complete panel replacement. The idea behind the concept is to reduce weight at the top of the car thus lowering the center of gravity and to allow for better construction of a roll cage. With the factory roof panel removed, the main hoop of the roll cage can be made taller adding more headroom and an extra margin of safety. With the roof removed it is easier to weld the very top joint in the cage. The Kokeln Roof Panel mounts using the flanges that are left after the factory roof is removed. Once the Kokeln Panel is installed and all of the factory trim is back in place, the only exposed part of the body that needs to be finished is a 1" section where the Kokeln roof meets the A-pillar.
Due to the removal of the factory roof, it is recommended that experienced technicians should install the Kokeln Roof panel.
